Germantown Gem - 4 Br Home

We had a weekend staycation as Nashville locals, and it was just right for a quick getaway. Germantown Inn Nashville is an impressive historic property, close to downtown but quiet when it’s time to turn in. The rooms were unique, well appointed, and quiet. Cleanliness, aesthetics, and comfort all get a 5 from us. The staff were warm and pleasant. Chrissy and Bobby helped us so much with planning and during our stay. Highly recommended. We’ll be back.

With only 10 rooms, this is a lovely boutique hotel, and each room has its own character. Amy and Chrissy were especially helpful and the staff were lovely. There’s attractive indoor and outdoor space, plus free parking. The location in the heart of Germantown is hard to beat, close to restaurants, bars, and cafes. Bicentennial Capital Mall State Park, Tennessee State Museum, and Farmers Market are a short walk away. Kroger and Walgreens are nearby too for sundries. Highly recommend!

Madison seemed to be the smallest room, and it was too cramped for us. The comfortable bed took up most of the space, leaving nowhere for our two cases or bedside tables. We had to put drinks and our mobile phones, used as alarm clocks, on the floor. I believe the other rooms were larger. The bathroom itself was a good size, but had no surfaces for toiletry bags, so those went on the floor too. The shower was adequate, though the water flow was low compared with other places we stayed. The Inn was immaculate and stylish, but the design sometimes came at the expense of practicality. The signage was poor: we could barely spot the small sign with the property’s name, and there was nothing saying parking was in the lane behind the building. We had to go inside to ask. All the doors use a 7 or 9 digit code, which is fiddly. The area seemed nice and safe, with good restaurants within walking distance. The young woman who greeted us was friendly and professional. We got two complimentary drinks each and snacks on arrival, which were a godsend after a long drive. Breakfast was very nice too. It’s a nice place, if a little expensive.

We left at 4 a.m., and the staff had a wonderful breakfast ready for us to take on the long drive home. Right from the door, we got a friendly welcome, charcuterie, and a choice of wine or beer. This clean, rustic, quaint Inn exceeded our expectations. If we’re in Nashville again, we’d book here without hesitation. Thanks for making our stay top notch.
