Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown Capitol Vi

I travel to Nashville often and will probably start choosing this hotel over places closer to Vandy. I liked the neighborhood, with plenty of food nearby and a Publix on the next block. The capital view was great, and the garage was convenient, though $40 a night felt pricey. Parking instructions were confusing: the deck had QR codes, but at check-in they only needed my car description and plate number. A sign explaining that would help. The staff were friendly and texted after check-in to see if everything was okay. My room was a little small, but otherwise typical Hampton Inn fare. The bed was comfortable, the work desk had plenty of room, and there were enough outlets.

The breakfast was included and really good. I stayed two nights, and it was nice to see different choices each morning. The hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. On checkout day, the front desk staff kindly held my luggage. Elina Myers was especially attentive, warm, and professional, and left a great impression. I’d happily stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown Cabell View again and recommend it.

We meant to book just one night, but ended up extending to two because my wife and I loved the place. Our corner room on an upper floor was spacious, clean, and had a spectacular Nashville view. There’s a rooftop pool and bar with another breathtaking view, plus coffee downstairs throughout the day and free breakfast. Restaurants are an easy walk away. The staff made us feel welcome and were kind and helpful. This hotel has become a favorite and holds a special place for us. Thanks to everyone, we’d highly recommend it.

I was told at checkout that I was all set and wouldn’t be charged, but three days after getting home I found a parking fee on my bill. I’ve called, but the manager is never there and hasn’t returned my call. The manager had said they couldn’t refund me like they were doing for other guests because I booked through Expedia, but offered to waive parking instead. If you tell someone you’ll do something, please follow through. I stayed three days. On day two the power went out and the hotel switched to generators. Only one light worked in my room, the heater blew cold air and wouldn’t turn off, and the thermostat showed 56 degrees at one point. The microwave kept beeping nonstop, and I couldn’t unplug it or move its heavy stand. The TV didn’t work, and the Wi-Fi barely worked after it came back. I called about the problems and no one came to check. Later I waited in line in the lobby to speak with who I think was the manager. It’s a nice hotel, but the issues and the parking charge made for a bad stay.
