Holiday Inn Express Nashville Airport by IHG

The breakfast was hands down the best I've ever had at a hotel. There were pancakes to make yourself, juices, milk, coffee, tea and cocoa, plus oatmeal with toppings, scrambled eggs or egg and cheese, bacon or sausage, boiled eggs, Oikos yogurt, bagels, muffins, bread, egg mcmuffins, biscuits and sausage gravy, and more. There was plenty of seating, and the glass-enclosed fireplace gave off a nice warmth. The coffee, tea and hot cocoa station was available all the time, which was such a blessing. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was so comfortable, with crisp, clean sheets. The bathroom was spotless, with a roomy tub and Dove soap, shampoo and conditioner. We had a flat-screen TV, a nice patio view and a patio set up for comfort, USB and C charger plugs as well as regular outlets, microwave, iron and ironing board, a blow dryer in a bag, a safe, and a fridge-freezer combo. There was even a sign by the sink inviting you to call the front desk if you'd forgotten toiletries. Some rooms had balconies. The thermostat for the window unit worked better than the unit's own controls. Front desk staff were kind, professional, efficient and very accommodating, and check-in was seamless. They offered complimentary bottled water at check-in. Housekeeping staff mostly speak Spanish, but can speak some English, and they're some of the sweetest people ever. Thank you, Mrs. Thompson, for those two years of elective Spanish! Parking is in a few rows out front and farther along the sides, so that can be a bit of a walk, but it wasn't too bad. The hotel is huge and very close to the airport, yet very quiet. It's just outside the main city, about two minutes from town, and regularly patrolled. Opry Mills Mall is about 15 minutes away. The online descriptions can be far from what you actually get at some hotels, but this place really is a gem. Highly recommend it, and I'll definitely stay here again in Nashville.
