The parking lot could use cameras and more noticeable security. Still, my family and I had a five-star stay at HYATT House Nashville at Vanderbilt, our first time there and our first visit to Nashville. I'm a Hyatt Globalist and have stayed often at other Hyatt House and Place hotels, but this one stood out because of the staff. At the front desk, Charlotte was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and took time to answer our questions with a warm smile. She made us feel like family. Later, hotel manager Katelyn welcomed us and accommodated a couple of requests. Since we were new to Nashville, she listened to what we were looking for and gave helpful ideas for dining, sights, museums, and landmarks. We also enjoyed the fresh fruit, hot breakfast choices, juice, tea, and bread. Vincent worked hard to keep the dining area clean and stocked, while staying attentive and positive despite wearing an arm brace. What stood out most was his professionalism. A group of around ten or more fraternity brothers were loud, rude, and disrespectful to him. They deliberately made requests, left a mess, and abandoned their plates and trash while giving him a nasty smirk. Vincent stayed patient, diligent, and detail-oriented, making sure other guests could still enjoy breakfast. Thank you, Charlotte, Katelyn, and Vincent. Many staff members impressed us, but those three stood out most.

Great hotel in a convenient spot. My only gripe is the coffee. I need good coffee in the morning, and they don't offer anything elevated, not even Starbucks. The shop across the street is good if you don't get up early, but it doesn't open until 8 on weekends.

The location made it easy to walk to many restaurants, Dollar General across the street, and downtown, and the price was budget-friendly. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the views were beautiful. I also liked having breakfast included and spent a relaxing time at the rooftop pool enjoying the scenery. Hyatt House is a convenient, comfortable choice in Music City. Highly recommend.

I hadn't been to this Hyatt House near Vanderbilt Univ graduate school in Nashville for about six years. The neighborhood has developed, and it was handy for a meeting at the business school, which I walked to. After a late night, I could also walk back from downtown and the lovely action on Broadway to clear my head. My flight from NYC was delayed, so I didn't arrive until 3:00am. I was greeted as a globalist and received the usual benefits, which I appreciated. The rooms are standard, but I like having a fridge and kitchenette even though I didn't need them on this visit. I also missed the complimentary breakfast because my flight was at 6:00am and I left for the airport at 5:00am. It was a quick visit, but the hotel made my business trip comfortable and welcoming. Great location for families visiting, and I'd recommend it.

THE POOL IS CLOSED AND DRAINED Update: I'd already reviewed the poor service and dated accommodations. Now the pool, the one redeeming feature, isn't open. The listing and check-in didn't disclose this, and corporate didn't offer anything after I contacted them. Just book somewhere else. The photos are very misleading. Our room was dated, and the TV was nearly unusable, glitching and stalling every 30 seconds. Check-in was poor, too. The man in front of us got complimentary waters, while we didn't, though we could buy them in our room for $7. The location is okay, but I don't know Nashville well and it felt far from the nightlife. I absolutely wouldn't book here again.
