Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University

We’ve spent Thanksgiving here for 4-5 years in a row now, and my wife and I had another great stay. Johnny helped us several times and made sure our room was just right, so special thanks to him for his hospitality. The staff really looked after us, and as an Ambassador Elite member, I appreciate how much this property cares. We’ll return next year. Happy holidays!

We chose the Vanderbilt Marriott during the ice storm, and I’m glad we did. The staff were so kind and hardworking while things were difficult. Aayush was especially helpful at check-in, when we needed to extend our stay for a second time, and whenever we had a question or request. I can’t say enough good things about the team.

I’ve been staying at the Marriott downtown for the last few weeks, and the service has been exceptional. Everyone has been kind, helpful, and keeps everything clean. Zoe helped me today and did a great job. I’m glad to be staying here.

Sam at the front desk made a great impression. He gave me a helpful rundown of the area from his side of the desk, a real hospitality touch. After a lot of business travel, you notice the little things that set a hotel apart, and he got those right. The location is fantastic, close to Vandy and area restaurants, with The Parthenon directly across the street and plenty of paths for walking. Rooms are a nice size, and both the shower and bathroom have actual doors. The M Club is a nice option for breakfast if you have access, and the gym’s cardio machines look out over Vanderbilt’s stadium. My only real complaint is the parking, over $50 for one night of valet-only parking seems steep. Everything else was exceptional, and I’d absolutely stay here again when I’m in the area.
