Super 8 by Wyndham Nashville West

The follow-up emails were thoughtful, and the room had nice modern upgrades. It was spotless, and the staff were great with accessibility assistance. Wyndham seems to be putting money into quality here. I had an incredible stay at Super 8, from the room to the service. Highly recommend.

We’ve stayed here many times when my wife has medical appointments nearby, but this time we were refused service because of a late checkout on our previous visit. Her urostomy bag had unexpectedly malfunctioned, and she needed to shower and change it, and her clothes, to avoid infection. She has no control over it, and a urostomy is a recognized disability. She was as quick as she could be. When management called our room before 11 a.m., she was sensitive about the situation and said she’d overslept. She later let me find housekeeping and explain the real reason. They were kind and said they still had several rooms before ours to clean, and hadn’t even finished the rooms behind us. We thought the manager understood too, since he was pleasant when we checked out at 11:45 and told us to come again. I offered $25 for the delay, but it was declined. When my wife tried to explain, she was told we couldn’t stay. We’re disappointed by management’s lack of compassion and understanding about her disability, whether visible or not. This felt terribly unfair, and the way they handled it was poor customer relations and discriminatory.

At 2:15 in the morning I was too tired to complain. The room itself was clean, but had a really musty smell, and the bathroom reeked of urine. Hard to believe this is part of Wyndham. Stay away.

Not a clean place, and the towels were stained and musty. The walls were falling apart with awful patch jobs, and we could hear the people upstairs as if they were in our room. When someone in the next room used water, it sounded like a pressure washer right beside us. It was easily the worst place I’ve stayed, and not quiet at all.
