The Soundry

The neighborhood was nice, and we were close to lots of places. The suite felt cozy, and the bed and couch were comfortable. The kitchen was nearly complete: it had a fridge, dishwasher, two-burner stovetop, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, and utensils, but no oven. Storage was limited, though there was enough for what I needed. I also liked that leftover food gets donated. I'd happily stay here again.

The customer service was terrific. I got daily texts starting the day before check-in, and when my code hadn't arrived on check-in day, I called and had it within two minutes. We also appreciated having Kroger in walking distance. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the lobby always smelled lovely. Being on the ground floor meant our car was right outside the door, which was handy. Next time, I'd hope for a balcony higher up so we could sit outside without people walking past.

I can't comment on the rooms since we had to cancel before staying, but the team at The Soundry handled it so kindly. An important issue at home came up, and the third-party booking site told me to contact the property to change the reservation. I called, explained the situation, and they were understanding and helpful throughout. They approved a cancellation without a fee. The people who helped me were top notch.

We stayed at The Soundry for a concert at Bridgestone, and the location worked perfectly. We could walk to dinner and pick up what we needed at Kroger across the street. Parking was free, with a small side lot and street spaces where we felt safe leaving the car overnight. The room was clean, with a great city view from the balcony, and the bed was very comfortable. It's modern and casual rather than fancy, which suited us well and spared us expensive parking and crowds.
