I travel for work and work nights, so I need to sleep during the day. Staff knocked on my door four times in four hours, and getting past that still wouldn't make up for the service. The front desk was often empty, and the people I encountered were as rude as could be. The room was awful too. There was black mold on the shower ceiling, hair in the shower, stains on the sheets, dirty sinks, and bugs. The door wouldn't hang right and had to be slammed shut. The refrigerator froze everything, with no way to turn it down, and nobody came to look when I asked for help. The bed was so uncomfortable I had to buy a mattress pad just to sleep. I don't know why anyone would stay here. If you want to get some rest, please stay away.

This place is falling apart inside and out, and I didn't feel safe in the room. The floor was so sticky that even wearing flip-flops was unpleasant, and I wasn't about to walk barefoot. The toilet seat was broken and held together with medical tape. A transition strip was missing from the floor, leaving spikes exposed. There was sticky stuff on the nightstand, and bugs and hair on the tables and chairs. I've stayed in $40 hotels that were much better. I wouldn't call this a safe hotel.

Nick at the front desk was right, we weren't disappointed. The building looked old, so I had judged the room before seeing it. My family and I usually stay at the Holiday inn, but during last weekend's jazz festival the rates were over $200 a night. I found a good rate online at the Days inn for two nights, and we needed two rooms. Thanks, Nick!

When I was at a low point and short on cash, management helped me find a place to stay. I'm really grateful for that, so thank you. It comes down to who cares and gives you a chance, not just what a place looks like. The prices are good, and the management is considerate, understanding, and welcoming. It's clean, the service is good, and it's quiet, which I like most. If you're looking for a reasonably priced place for a few days, a weekend, or even a month, I recommend coming to today's in. Whenever I need a hotel, this is where I go.

My room was full of cockroaches. I had paid for two nights when I checked in, and when I asked for another room the manager said they were full. I asked for a refund instead, but he said I couldn't get one for either night because I'd missed the 4 p.m. cancellation deadline, even though I was checking in. He didn't believe me when I said there were cockroaches. I offered to show him videos, and he told me, “they're just little bugs!”
