The bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean, and the room was pretty clean overall. Breakfast was a small selection of cereal, bagels, juice, coffee, and so on. It was fresh and tasted fine. The TV channels barely came through and had a lot of static. The bathroom window could use a curtain or tint: there’s no ventilation or AC vent, and the sun makes it very hot and bright. The ceiling looked like it had caved in before, then got a rough plaster repair and paint job. A towel bar looked as though it had been torn from the wall and never replaced. The bathroom window didn’t lock, though that wasn’t a big concern since I was on the second floor. I enjoyed the stay, the price was reasonable, and the man at check-in was friendly. I’d stay again.

The room was clean apart from the mini fridge, and I liked the decor. Breakfast was good too. There were a couple of issues: the toilet leaked and the bathtub needed fresh caulking. The mini fridge should have been cleaned, and I wish there’d been a TV guide. All in all, a pretty good experience.

The man at the front desk brought us fresh sheets after we found blood stains on the bedding, which was nice. But the room is dated, in serious disrepair, and smells of cigarette smoke. The bathroom window doesn’t lock, and being on the first floor made me worry about safety. There was also a free, used pair of panties on top of the wardrobe. Don’t stay here unless you can’t afford anything more expensive.

I hesitated after seeing the online reviews, but the location convinced me to give the hotel a try. It’s right in the middle of a shopping area and very close to the major highway. The front desk staff were very friendly when I arrived, and the simple lobby was clean. My room was clean and spacious, with a small dorm-sized fridge. I’d recommend it for the friendly staff, the room, and especially the location, which you can’t beat.
