We were shown three rooms, and none looked like the online photos. The first had bugs, the second smelled like a moldy basement, and the clerk said there'd been a water leak. In the third, there were large brown stains on the sheets. When we said we couldn't stay in those conditions, the clerk pointed to a no-refunds sign in the office. The customer service was awful, and the business feels shady, like it misleads people online. I wish I could give it negative five stars. Disgusting. Don't stay here.

I was travelling alone with my dog, and the door wouldn't close or lock, which was the last straw. I packed up and tried calling the manager for a refund, but he was running around the building dealing with other problems. The hotel number went to a full voicemail, and my email through the website never got a reply. The room smelled, and even though I was told it was their best, the bed cover had dirty white stains. The bathroom circuit breaker tripped; the maintenance man tried to restore power, but the lights kept flickering and there was a buzzing sound. It was never fixed, and I worried about a fire. There was no TV remote and no way to operate the TV by hand. I expect a hotel to provide the basics, and this place didn't. Totally unacceptable. Stay away.

There was no hot water, barely any pressure from the tub faucet, and nothing came through the showerhead. I hadn't been told about any of that when I rented the room. I asked for a refund and he refused, saying it would all be fixed in the morning. Two days later, it still wasn't. When we arrived, the owner took us to the room, plugged in the fridge and microwave, and turned on the AC, even though it was still over 100 degrees at 9:00 at night and they should already have been running. I saw a roach come out of the microwave. He looked but said there wasn't one. He told us to keep the door shut to keep insects and mosquitoes out. After he left, we sprayed our own bug spray before bringing our things upstairs. He blamed the roaches on us leaving the front door open, but we never did. There are big gaps around the door where heat and light come through, so I'm sure bugs can get in too.

I booked first and read the reviews five minutes later, then called right away to cancel when I saw what a mess the place was. The man at the front said I'd have to pay whether or not I showed up, so I felt I had no choice but to stay in a roach-infested room. I left my belongings outside, which I'm glad I did, because I discovered bedbugs the next morning too. Their bites bothered me for weeks. I showed the bugs to the man, who made a show of sealing them in a Ziploc bag for an inspection, but I doubt anything came of it. He still wouldn't refund me, and everything he said from arrival to checkout was baloney. I paid $45 for one night in a room with a queen bed, even though a big motel sign said rooms were just 29.99. He claimed it was because he'd given me the "best" room. This place wasted my time and money and felt like a serious health and safety hazard. It should be shut down right away.

We had to clean and sanitize the room ourselves before my wife and I could rest for the night. That meant vacuuming and doing housekeeping work in a room that shouldn't have been rented. The TV was from the 1950s, with no remote, so I couldn't even watch the news. Some light fixture and lamp wiring was hanging out or missing. I'm usually fair because I understand that situations can vary, but what the website calls a hotel felt to me like a crackhead spot. I wouldn't recommend going unless it's a dire emergency and there's nowhere else.
