Alfred at the front desk was quick to answer everything and made check-in easy, and the room had a warm, old-fashioned feel that suited the Berkshires. We also added the $25 Prosecco package for Valentine’s Day, a nice little touch for our one-night weekend getaway. The bathroom was the biggest letdown. It looked like it had been patched up over time, and the shower didn’t drain, so we ended up standing in dirty water. Trying to watch a movie didn’t work out either, since the TV kept buffering until we gave up and turned it off. Breakfast was just muffins and little cereal boxes, with no milk or bowls, so the cereal wasn’t much use. We had a mixed stay: the service and atmosphere were good, but the bathroom, streaming, and sparse breakfast would need attention before we’d come back.

Cabin one was spotless, the beds were wildly comfortable, and the decor was so much fun. We celebrated a milestone birthday there this week, with a roaring fire in the cabin after drinks in the awesome lobby bar. We also caught some sun on the patio in front of the hotel with our cocktails. Chris helped plan the whole stay and was a true professional. We felt welcome, and you can tell the staff cares about your experience. The area is beautiful, too. Can't wait to return in summer and enjoy the pool and outside areas. Loved every drop of it.

Trail 90 starts right behind the property, and there’s parking for trucks and trailers, which worked great for our snowmobiling trip on 1/30/26. Brian the owner was accommodating and a great host. We hung out by the nice fireplace in the cool lobby. There’s no restaurant on site, though the old forge is only 8 minutes away.

The contactless check-in was easy, and our room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. I also loved the vintage feel throughout the place, especially the appliances in the photo below. I went to the Berkshires last weekend with a friend for another friend's birthday. Many of the party guests stayed at the Springs, and when we arrived, a few dozen people were having a potluck dinner on the lawn before the party at a separate location. In the morning we had a lovely chat with the new owner, Brian, who has a lot of wonderful plans for additions, including making the Airstream a featured lodging option. I’ll absolutely stay there again when I’m in the area, and would recommend it to anyone.

The rooms were clean and comfortable for the two nights I stayed, and I loved the retro fridge and decor. I was in Williamstown for work, usually at The Porches Inn or the Fairfield by Marriott Inn. After passing the Springs Motel on an earlier trip, I decided to try it next time. It’s been renovated and reopened, and the maintenance guy said they’re doing a lot of great things now and for the future. I was mostly there in the evenings to shower and sleep, and that worked great. I do wish the lobby opened earlier and stayed open later. I think the hours are currently 9 AM to 6 PM, and I only lingered on my last morning to see it. It’s very cool and retro. I took some pictures before heading out.
