The free park shuttles were great, and early access to the parks was worth its weight in gold. For local trips, Ubers were cheap, efficient, friendly, and plentiful. We didn't need a car because we had the shuttles, though I'd hire one for days spent farther away. Icon Park was a good place to eat, about a $5 Uber ride away, with a range of restaurants. Overall, I'd give the hotel 4.5 stars and would stay again. We were two adults and a child in June 2026. The hotel was clean, service was second to none, and the room was made up and towels changed daily. Quiet hours start at 10 pm, which was good to know since sound carries between adjoining rooms. I thought I might have to ask staff to step in at one point, and they enforce the rule strictly, but thankfully the very loud room next door left. The pool is very shallow, around three feet at most, so swimming is hard, but it's excellent for cooling off in the hot, humid weather. Drinks at the pool or hotel bar come with a hefty bill, in line with big city prices. The cafe is good for some things, like pizza, but the hotel breakfast is meager. For a good breakfast, IHOP is a five-minute walk away, and it's almost impossible to finish one for less money. One small gripe: the toilet paper was cheap, so we used twice as much.

We picked this hotel for its convenient location near Universal Studios and the one-bedroom suite. As a family of five, we found the suite spacious and comfortable. The kids spent most of our short stay in the pool, where the lifeguards were professional and attentive. They even ran training sessions while we were there, which reassured us that they were watching the children closely. The adults found the pool area relaxing, and there was a good range of cocktails at the bar. Having a full-service Starbucks on site was my favorite bonus. It was lovely to get morning coffee without leaving the hotel. We had a very enjoyable visit and would consider coming back.

We've visited Dockside twice with large groups of girl scouts, and this latest trip exceeded expectations in almost every way. Rooms were ready when we arrived at 9 am, and they were all next to each other in the same hallway. The family suites were bright, comfortable, and spacious. Having a mini fridge and microwave was great for traveling with kids. The food court had enough variety that even our picky eaters found things they liked. The girls stayed at the pool until it closed at 11 pm. Buses to the parks ran on time, and we never waited more than a few minutes.

We love the Universal resorts! The pool areas are nice, and towels are provided. The shuttle buses to the parks run frequently enough to save you the trouble of driving and parking. Our two-room suite had three beds and plenty of space for six, plus a kitchen area and a table with chairs. The only drawback was having just one bathroom, but that's par for the course. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy, and doing it by mobile makes the process faster.

Our two-bedroom suite was spacious and comfortable for our large family, and the hotel is beautiful, clean, and looks updated. The buses seemed to run quickly and efficiently, so we'll definitely return. We had a check-in issue that was entirely my fault, but Carlos, Isabel, and Jonathan were wonderful and helped us get settled. The customer service was outstanding right from the start.
