Tryon Riverfront Inn New Bern, Tapestry

The location worked perfectly for me, right beside the convention center and just a block from New Bern’s downtown shops and restaurants. I’d happily stay here again. As someone with two knee replacements, I appreciated the low bathtub and grab bars, which I need even though I don’t require a roll-in shower. There were towel rods and hooks placed right where they’re useful by the shower, too. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, got us another lamp, and gave us directions. The hotel was excellent for someone with limited mobility.

My main suggestion is to add more light by the desk. That area was really dark. Otherwise, the room was excellent: nice atmosphere, clean, and stocked with all the right amenities. It smelled heavenly, and the rooms are so well insulated that outside and hallway noise was barely an issue. Just be aware that breakfast isn’t included. There’s a restaurant, but it’s very expensive. The food looked delicious, though I wouldn’t call it hearty, so we went to IHOP instead. Maybe we’ll try it next time. Desk staff were attentive, helpful, and quick.

The location is perfect, the rooms are great, and the restaurant food is delicious, especially breakfast. The staff really go above and beyond to make sure you have a good stay. Madina and Riley deserve a special mention, they’re wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel.

I’m not anyone special, but the staff treat me with so much care every time I visit. Shelby, the manager, really looks after guests, and Madina at the front desk remembers my name. Fareyn and Montsay have both been so kind and helpful. Jake in the restaurant gives me great service and remembers me by name, too. It’s unlike any other hotel. The property is already very nice, but the people make my stays special. This is the nicest hotel I stay at when I travel, and I’m grateful. I’ll stay there every time I’m in town.
