1847 Kuebler Waldrip Haus Bed and Breakfast

I came alone for a few days for a wedding and felt safe and well looked after by the family and staff. They got to know me, the food was delicious, and there was always a drink or snack in the common area. Wi-Fi worked fine, and the peaceful home and grounds gave me a real chance to rest. The location was easy to reach and close enough to town. 10/10, highly recommend.

We’ve brought the family back to the historic Kuebler Waldrip bed and Breakfast many times, and each visit has that same magic. It’s only a short drive to things nearby, around five minutes to Gruene and 15 minutes to Canyon Lake. The kids like the cookies and ice cream, and there are refreshments too. The big grounds are nice to wander and watch local wildlife, while the historic house is kept up well. In cooler weather, the wood-burning fireplaces make it warm and cozy. Breakfast every morning is always exceptional. Do your family a favor and stay here on your next Hill Country trip. After this place, you won’t want to stay anywhere else.

We had the Deer Haven room, which was quiet, clean, and roomy enough for us. The hosts were welcoming, and we liked the rustic property and how far it was from the road. Breakfast was great, and they even made my coffee decaf. A nice Hill Country getaway.

The hosts were the best part for us. We showed up as strangers and left feeling like new friends after staying up late talking over a choice of complimentary wines. They also keep the fridge stocked with drinks, and there are lots of snacks and even ice cream. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, and breakfast was scrumptious. It’s peaceful countryside, but only minutes from downtown New Braunfels and Gruene. You could easily come as a couple for a romantic getaway, or bring family and even a pet. We can’t wait to return.
