Cheryl was wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious. She shared the history of the area and this home, which was so interesting. The place is quaint, and I really felt like I'd stepped back in time. Thanks, Cheryl, for a lovely visit!

After a hot day walking around, the 1850 room was lovely and cool. The bed was super comfortable, and I wish I'd remembered to ask what kind of mattress or cover it had. The room was just right, with its own side entrance to the covered patio. Cheryle and her staff were great and very accommodating. They shared helpful information and suggested places to see and eat. The location is perfect for getting around Gruene. I'll definitely be back.
The cottage is in an unbeatable spot. We walked everywhere all weekend and never needed the car. We stayed in the 1850 room and loved the private side entrance, which made taking our pups out to potty easy. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and being able to bring our fur babies was great. We'll book this room again next time we're in town.
Everything is just steps from the downtown shops and stores, and I felt so welcome here. Cheryl, the host, is kind and welcoming. I loved relaxing on the cozy front porch and chatting with her and the other guests. The cottage is darling, charming, and decorated so nicely inside. Can't wait to come back. Highly recommend!
We had booked Antoinette cottage for the July 9-11 weekend and called two hours before arrival to confirm. When we got there, the owner, Sheryl, asked who we were and said she had no reservation for us. She went inside, saying she was calling around to find another place, while we pulled up the email exchange between her and our friend who made the booking. The email confirmed we'd booked the right weekend. I called Sheryl back outside to ask for help, but she said there was nothing she could do. A business owner who has made a serious mistake can always do something to help a party of four moms find a place to stay. Instead, she told us to stop interrupting her while she called around. When we tried to go inside and talk, she'd locked the front door. Those 20 minutes were horrendous. She wouldn't take responsibility and ran away, locking us out. Thankfully, we found Crystal River Inn in San Marcos.
