We spent New Year's Eve at Gruene Mansion Inn and fell in love with the place. Our two-story suite had a cozy Southern feel and so much character, like stepping into another era. The historic buildings, inviting colors, and thoughtful details make the property feel lovingly preserved, and you can tell they care about its spirit. The location beside historic Gruene Hall, known as the oldest continually operating dance hall in Texas, is a big part of the magic. We could enjoy the music and lively atmosphere, then return to the inn's peaceful comfort. It's an easy drive from Houston and would make a lovely romantic staycation or quick escape. We were incredibly impressed.

We loved our last two stays here. The little cabins have loads of character, with river views, and the location is close to everything while still tucked away from the noise. The team went above and beyond and made both visits the best.

We stayed for spring break weekend and loved both the room and the location. You're right in the middle of everything, with a lovely river view from the relaxing porch and its rocking chairs. The room was cozy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely return.

We booked the Master Bedroom for the night while seeing Wade Bowen at the hall, and absolutely loved it. The room looks out over the hall and has a wonderful historic feel. The exquisite bed and clawfoot tub were particular favorites. I'd definitely recommend the inn to anyone visiting Gruene, and we'll be back.

Breakfast was one of our favorite parts of staying at Gruene Mansion Inn. The homemade spread included fresh-baked breads and muffins, casseroles, and delicious desserts. It felt like a family meal made with care, and that quality and authenticity made the visit more special. The inn combines historic charm and beautifully restored rooms with modern comforts and a peaceful atmosphere. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the welcoming staff were polite, informative, and gave us helpful suggestions for where to eat and what to see over the weekend. With cozy accommodations, great service, and a spot just steps from Gruene Hall and the Guadalupe River, it delivered on every level. We left rested and well fed, already planning a return. A lovely taste of Texas hospitality.
