The staff were attentive, and the room was very clean, with an excellent balcony view over the Guadalupe river. We had a tremendous time in Gruene, and Gruene River Inn was a great spot for a couple of nights. It's a lovely option for couples wanting a weekend getaway. We'll definitely return.

The views are amazing, and the updates look lovely. There is a balcony overlooking the river in every room. The friendly, welcoming people made us feel at home. They're still doing construction, so don't be put off by the facade. The whole concept is fantastic, and we'll definitely stay again.

The outside looks a little weathered, but don't let that put you off, this place is a gem. Inside, our room was clean and just right, with cute decor, a spacious bathroom, and a river-view balcony. You're also within walking distance of all the fun in Gruene, TX. We thought it was amazing and will definitely be back.

The property itself is beautiful, with stunning river views and a cute little boutique-style Inn. It's a short one-minute drive into town or about a ten-minute walk, and there's river access right on the property if you don't want the hassle of floating. Every staff member, including housekeeping, was so friendly. My husband and I stayed for the first time a few weeks ago for our wedding anniversary, and we'll definitely return. We were double-charged, once through booking.com and once by the inn, which left us short about $1,000 for the weekend. The staff were SO helpful and quick to work on it. The booking.com charge was returned within 24 hours, and the inn comped our weekend stay for the trouble. We're still trying to get the original deposit back after two weeks. Jane, one of the staff members, and Darryl, the owner, have been doing everything they can to sort it out. They even offered to mail a paper check if the bank issue can't be resolved.

The river view from the balcony was lovely, and the huge jacuzzi tub made it easy to unwind. We came for our first visit as a couple and really enjoyed it. The rooms each have their own style and are nicely decorated, with plenty of towels in the bathroom. They even had complimentary snacks ready when we arrived. The staff and owners were warm and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious. We can't wait to plan another trip. Such a beautiful spot for a romantic getaway.
