Comfort Inn New Holland Amish Country

The mini fridge wouldn’t hold its temperature, and the room and bathroom were mediocre at best. The inn felt overpriced and overdue for an update. Staff were mostly unfriendly, though the breakfast attendant was nice. Even the hall lights looked like Tarzan had been swinging from them. We won’t return.

Filthy carpet, blood on the shower curtain, and two dirty washcloths left there. The sink kept running, and there was paint overspray all over the coffee maker and counter. This hotel is nasty. You’d be better off staying somewhere else.

We booked room 214 for a weekend away, then woke up with bed bugs crawling on us. The bites left me with terrible swelling and itching, and nearly became infected. I got the manager’s contact details, but my emails went unanswered, and the manager Ginny himself hung up on me. The staff and the way they handled it were terrible, with no follow-up. This will be taken to court. It’s unfortunate you can’t give zero stars.

I ended up leaving and finding another place to stay. The room was so dirty, with mold on the curtains, food in the fridge, missing toiletries, and bulbs that didn’t work. The peephole was missing too, and they tried to fix it by stuffing something into the opening. At the front desk, the man was on his phone and didn’t even seem to notice guests in the lobby. I can’t understand the reviews this dump gets. After weeks of waiting, I still haven’t heard from the manager about the refund the front desk promised. DO NOT STAY HERE. The reviews are fake, by the way!
