The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, and we made plenty of use of the coffee/tea bar. Antonio, the innkeeper, was welcoming and made sure our trip was going well. I brought my daughter for a getaway before her April wedding, and we had a wonderful time. As Gilmore Girls fans, we chose the Stars Hollow room, with decor inspired by the show, and found it very comfortable. The inn was a perfect base for exploring New Milford and nearby small communities. We definitely want to come back.

The staff were incredibly attentive, and even made delicious breakfast sandwiches for us to take along at checkout because we had an early flight. A huge thanks to everyone at The Homestead Inn for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The quaint, historic hotel gave us the New England feel we were after. It was an unforgettable experience.

The young man at the desk was helpful, but the room was just gross. It could be charming, but our stay wasn’t. It felt dreary, the rug was dirty and smelled, and the chairs were visibly soiled. There was even a woman’s shirt in the nightstand drawer, so clearly the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The bed was uncomfortable, and my husband joked it probably hadn’t been changed since Kennedy stayed in the “Kennedy Room.” The room was much darker than the photos made it look. We couldn’t leave the drapes open without giving up all privacy, since people walk right past the windows. I wish we’d driven a little farther and stayed at the Mayflower, where we had a wonderful dinner one night.

We had a delicious breakfast, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our Cottage suite was clean, quiet, lovely, and peaceful. It’s a small, separate attached building with a bedroom, LR/kitchen area, and bathroom with 2 sinks.

The Inn is an easy walk to downtown, with shops, plenty of restaurants, and a movie theater. My husband and I spent a short weekend here last weekend, in the Candlewood room. It was nicely decorated, very nice, and very clean. The staff were kind and the service was great. We had breakfast there too, and it was delicious.
