Best Western Plus St. Christopher Hotel

We had a comfortable bed, good water pressure, and a very convenient location. The front desk can call a taxi, the trolley is a block away, and the French quarter is one block from the hotel. There’s a convenience store about 100 feet from the front door and a great cafe about a block away. The blackout curtains still let in about 20% of the light, and light and sound came through under the door. We blocked it with a towel, but it wasn’t a huge deal. Our room faced the Sazarac, which we wouldn’t have noticed otherwise, but we ended up taking a tour and free tastings there, which was cool. I’d absolutely stay again.

Bourbon St and the French Market are both within walking distance. There’s no gym onsite, but you can use one nearby for a small fee. Parking is offsite, about two blocks away, and costs $45 a night. I rented a car and barely used it, so next time I’ll take a Lyft or the trolli.

The staff were excellent, and Jefferey was exceptional from the moment he greeted us until we left. The hotel is very pet friendly, right in the French Quarter, and close to everything. The ambiance and service felt better than what I’ve had at hotels costing three times as much. It’s amazing.

We had a great stay, and the location was a big part of that. The hotel even made my best friend’s birthday feel special with a card and such kind treatment. We did have one day without hot water, but I called the front desk and they fixed it, so it was fine for the rest of our visit. Breakfast was a treat too. Ms Toni was lovely to chat with each morning, and there were more choices than I’m used to seeing. If none of them suit you, there are plenty of breakfast places nearby. The room on the 10th floor was clean and fully stocked. No microwave in the room, though there is one in the lobby. I’d take some reviews with a grain of salt. I was there on the same day as another reviewer, when hundreds of college kids were in the lobby. Check-in with Braden, I believe that was his name, was easy. He was very nice throughout our stay. We hardly noticed a whole freshman class staying there, and some of the boys even apologized in the elevator in case they were loud or disruptive. We’ll definitely return. Thanks, everyone.
