Embassy Suites by Hilton New Orleans

This hotel could use renovations to bring the property up to the standard of its outstanding staff. It also lacks some modern conveniences, like nightstands with charging ports, spa shower heads, and comfortable flooring. The place is dated, but the prime location and delicious hot breakfast make it easier to overlook. The staff are friendly, responsive, and very professional, and they do everything they can to make your visit wonderful. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it.

Everyone was very nice, and the room was spacious with excellent access to the cruise port. The room could use some touch-ups, the AC fan was extremely loud, and we would’ve liked a microwave, though they said they’d address the noise. We were on the fifth floor looking down into the atrium, and the murals on the walls were intriguing and fun. Breakfast was terrific, especially the made-to-order omelette station. The woman with glasses and red-tinted black hair making omelettes was super sweet, and the young woman restocking and tidying the coffee area was very pleasant. CeCe at the Hilton Getaway desk was informative, kind, and personable. We loved her and would book a getaway with her every year!

The 5-7 free drinks and snacks were a wonderful treat, and my balcony room was exceptional. I’ll ask for that room every time I visit NOLA. As a solo traveler, I had everything I wanted and needed, and there’s another terrace on the 14th floor with even more expansive city views. The location was perfect, and I felt very safe walking alone at night. The breakfast was okay, not amazing, but I was fine with it. I loved everything about the property, from the valet and lovely front desk staff to the cafeteria, lobby, and bar. It was clean, and everyone was pleasant and attentive.

I’d stay at the Embassy again and still send my clients there. I’m a travel advisor and brought a group of 50 guests for one night before a cruise; everything was great. The one area for improvement is the evening reception. The lines were very long with only one bartender, and the snacks were dry snack mix and some chips. I’ve stayed at other Embassy properties with more plentiful hot hors d’oeuvres, so this one fell short there.
