Madison and Ryan at the front desk were very accommodating and made everything smooth, and their breakfast recommendations were great. Justina was hospitable too, and the staff made it easy to fall in love with the city. I booked the weekend only a day ahead and found a room at a very reasonable price, especially for Gulf Coast residents. The location made it easy to enjoy New Orleans’ history and beauty while staying close to the main areas of interest.

After a quick walk around the block to catch some of the parade, I came back and Raul made me a delicious Corpse Reviver #2 at the bar. I enjoyed it in the heated pool, a perfect quiet evening before Mardi Gras day. I’d booked one night during the Mardi Gras weekend for some time alone between lots of socializing, and it suited me perfectly. Mia was kind and helpful at check-in. I could hear quite a bit of hallway noise, but it was a night when people were bound to be having fun, and earplugs let me sleep well.

We were right near the parade route, which made getting around during Mardi Gras easy and exciting. The warm pool was so relaxing, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating the whole time. We can’t wait to come back, and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The pool was what convinced me to book, and it really was gorgeous. The hotel is fabulously decorated, staff were friendly, and the price was reasonable. I’d stay again, though I’d plan around a few drawbacks. Our first-floor room facing the interior courtyard was beautiful but stayed damp even though the weather wasn’t hot. We could hear hallway, upstairs, and neighboring-room noise clearly. Most people were quiet, but housekeeping was loud in the morning, and on our second or third night kids ran up and down the hall while we were trying to relax. I had to open the door and stare at their dad before he stepped in. The internet kept cutting in and out, and the huge TVs felt like a lot for the room size. The streetcar is nearby, but it doesn’t run on time, so leave extra early for a reservation or take a rideshare. We were there Monday through Friday for a little vacation, and I wish we’d had another day to enjoy the pool. There aren’t many staff, so please be patient.
