The Henry Howard Hotel has become our favorite place to stay in New Orleans. We come from Pensacola for family visits and girls weekends, and whether we're visiting Spyre for a wellness weekend or bringing the kids, it works beautifully. The Garden District setting is quiet, pretty, and walkable to St. Charles Avenue, restaurants, the streetcar, and the other things we want nearby. Bruce and the whole staff are professional, warm, and wonderful to work with. The hotel is charming and thoughtfully designed, with a cozy, comfortable feel. We all slept well in the unbelievably comfortable beds. Mornings on the front porch with coffee and warm breakfast rolls are so peaceful. Later, we enjoyed wine and Tyler's incredible craft cocktails at The Parlor. This is my new favorite hotel, and I highly recommend it for its comfort, charm, service, and cocktails.

The Garden District was a great choice for a quieter stay, and the Henry Howard Hotel made it a wonderful one. The streetcar and dining are nearby, and our room was spacious and comfortable. Tyler took good care of us from the moment we arrived. He suggested a New Orleans bus tour, and booking it through him was easy. Thanks to everyone for a lovely stay at this beautiful property.

I wish Google let me give the rooms and service 4.5 and the overall stay 4.5. It was a lovely experience at a gorgeous, understated hotel in a walkable part of the city. The free breakfast is light, but enough for a quick bite before heading out for Southern cooking. The streetcar is close, so you don't have to Uber everywhere. Service was mostly great and friendly. Our check-in got confusing because of the hotel's text updates, but the staff helped us sort it out and let us in as early as they could. The rooms lost half a point for limited closet space, since I lived out of my suitcase, and for not having a coffee machine. We'd definitely stay again.

The hotel is in a quiet spot at the lower end of the Garden District, which we really liked. There's no food on site, but you can buy wine by the bottle, starting around $36, though they don't always mention it unless you ask. Glasses cost more, and the living room is a nice place to relax in the evening. Community Coffee was excellent. The morning pastries seemed dry, maybe from the day before, so we went to the charming little bistro across the street for breakfast on later mornings. We recommend it. Tyler arranged an airport ride through a driver friend for a flat $36, which we appreciated. He, Ilena, and Randy were warm and welcoming when we arrived for our lovely three-night stay celebrating my 70th birthday. The bed was very comfortable, and our room was a peaceful place to return to after exploring. Betty, an older staff member working at night, I believe, knew a lot and gave us helpful restaurant and sightseeing suggestions. We felt at home, and everyone was kind and accommodating, though sometimes a bit inexperienced or not great at following through. They were friendly and eager to help, but not always as polished or professional as we expected. Tyler matched, and beat by $3, the Booking.com price when we reserved by phone. A few days before our arrival, we got a 10th anniversary offer for 10% off and a champagne welcome toast. At check-in I asked if it still applied and was told yes, but later they said they couldn't honor it since the rate had already been matched. We never got the champagne toast. I was touched by a card signed by the staff and a coupon for two complimentary drinks, and we enjoyed them during our stay. At checkout, though, the coupon wasn't honored or applied. It wasn't a major issue, just a nice gesture that turned into a small disappointment. Again, the follow-through.

We stayed in a very clean room in this old Garden District mansion. It had a huge floor-to-ceiling window that opened onto a private balcony. The area was much quieter than the French Quarter.
