Holy Angels Bywater Hotel And Residences

We felt at home here, thanks to Rachel and her team. They were kind and hospitable from the preparations before we arrived through the welcome and all our interactions during the stay. The rooms are well appointed, clean, and have comfortable beds. The location is great, the vibe was good, and the value was a steal. I'd come back in a heartbeat. I'm grateful to the team for making our stay so lovely.

It’s a newer place, very clean, and the staff are friendly. The pool and hot tub were great and clean, and there’s plenty of parking. Everything works by code, including keyless entry, and it felt very safe. My room was a little dark, but otherwise it was a great spot. There are cool little bars with music in the neighborhood, and it’s an easy electric Blue Bike ride to Jazz Fest or the French Quarter / Downtown.

The room itself was great, and staff seemed really nice at first, though there didn't seem to be many of them. Our TV and dryer both failed, and the room service was terrible. After we complained, they kicked us out and gave us only 20 minutes to pack. They called the police. We got a refund, but I still haven't received the money. I don't recommend this place.

We were tired after the drive from San Antonio to Nola, and it was late, so General Manager Zoe let me, my teenage son, and my 21 year old son use our booked room and sort out the problem with my third party booking service the next morning. She made no fuss about it. When we got in, I was surprised to find a small apartment rather than a standard hotel room. It was amazing and thoughtful, with space to cook breakfast and late night snacks and do laundry before we left. The pool and Hot Tub were spotless and inviting. We had the whole place to ourselves one evening. The location was handy for Bourbon St, French Market, and the restaurants, and we also booked a fun Swamp Tour. The staff were friendly. The young lady who works overnight until 4a was especially sweet and kind. Every evening we saw her, she was talkative, helpful, and vigilant. Holy Angel is a beautiful historic property, and I felt very safe there. Thank you all!
