Homewood Suites by Hilton New Orleans

The valets Denzel Jerome and Sonny made departure easy. They helped with our bags and handled the car promptly and carefully. The front desk, rooms, and the rest of the hotel were all great too. It was about a 10 min walk to bourbon street and other attractions, and we really enjoyed our stay. We'll stay here again next time we visit NO.

The location made it easy to walk to almost everything, and breakfast was hot and delicious. After being out in the heat and humidity, it was nice to have a big dispenser of iced lemon water. The kids and I had an amazing time over the last 2 nights. Our room was clean and spacious, with toiletries and plenty of towels. I'll be back, probably on my own next time.

The only real downside was how warm the lobby stayed. It was so hot during breakfast that I was sweating, and my son in law went back to the room to eat. Aside from that, the service was amazing and everyone was great. Breakfast had a nice range of options, including grits and bacon, with shredded cheese to add. I really enjoyed it. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had comfortable beds. Bourbon street was about a 10-minute walk away, where all the action was.

The location is perfect for getting around, and the corner spot is easy for drivers to find. The valet was really nice, and the hotel takes pets and treats them well. The staff were amazing and very kind. The room itself was older and needs repairs, though. The dishes were VERY, VERY dirty when we arrived, there was no dishwasher detergent, and cleaning didn't come until later in the day, when we were back and tired. We ended up asking for towels and a garbage bag. The body wash had already run out, so it hadn't been refilled before we got there. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel, with more than a couple of choices. I wouldn't tell people not to stay, but be proactive about checking supplies as soon as you arrive and asking for what you need. If I came back, I'd check everything right away to avoid surprises.
