The location was good, but stay away from Hosteeva. The four bed room has no windows, and that isn't disclosed anywhere. The dishwasher was brandnew and never used, but it wasn't connected. The agency acted like this was news to them, promised to fix it, and never showed up. Their website says bags can be stored after departure, but that suddenly wasn't possible either.

The property itself could have been fine, but distant, disconnected management turned what should've been an easy stay into a drawn out problem. They'd send immediate replies saying they'd get back to us, then stop responding altogether. With so little support from the owners, more and more things became issues. The place wasn't stocked like many Airbnb‘s with decent basic cooking equipment, or some simple things needed to cook. I understand many people visiting New Orleans eat out and may not need that. We also found furniture damaged by previous customers and never repaired or replaced, along with filthy areas and dangerous spots that caused people to fall. That's what happens when an owner treats a property as a distant investment and doesn't care for it. I offered helpful tips, but they seemed focused on increasing their bottom line and protecting their profit share. As a property and business owner myself, I know satisfied customers can teach us a lot and help prevent future business loss. I wouldn't recommend this organization or the property where I stayed with my family and the other family we were responsible for.

We were moved to a different unit at the last minute without notice or any offer of compensation, and the host sent us several incorrect door codes. We were left outside for a long time before we could get in. Once inside Hosteeva Bienville Villas in New Orleans, a strong mold and mildew smell filled the unit. The property manager insisted there was no mold and that the smell was “normal.” We trusted that, but found visible mold on our last day. Whenever we entered, several people in our group sneezed, coughed, had watery eyes, and experienced respiratory irritation. Afterward, multiple members of our party visited doctors and received diagnoses of health issues directly linked to mold exposure at this property. That's a serious health and safety violation. We also saw roaches, and a lizard climbed the wall. The place was poorly maintained, and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Flat sheets were used instead of proper fitted sheets and kept coming undone. The staff we met were polite, but the property was in poor condition and no one offered proactive solutions. The host didn't respond to reports through Airbnb, and management's assurances about the mold were misleading and completely irresponsible. What should've been a relaxing trip became a health hazard and a nightmare. I wouldn't risk staying here. If you have allergies or respiratory sensitivities, or expect basic cleanliness and professionalism, avoid this listing. No vacation is worth your health.

The rooms were huge and clean, and there was a great kitchen for making meals. Even though I was alone, I felt very safe. I stayed here last time I was in New Orleans, and the location was perfect for the French Quarter and Sanger theater.

At the Hosteeva property at 341 Bayonne Street in New Orleans, both apartments were run down, dirty, and in dire need of an upgrade. This is NOT A LUXURY Property. The owners seem to do the bare minimum to keep it open. We had dirty, stained furniture, including beige leather chairs with brown stains on the armrests and back padding, plus stained rugs. The kitchen was only partly stocked, with no wine glasses and an incomplete mix of plates and bowls. Interior door locks were broken, some doors were off track and wouldn't open, and the elevator appeared to have been broken for a while, based on prior posts. The first apartment's master bath had no working electrical outlets. There were moldy air ducts and internet that cut out every day. Getting to the upper apartment meant hauling luggage and supplies up four flights of stairs through a dim hallway. Hosteeva, which markets the property, tried to be responsive, but it was frustrating to deal with constant maintenance problems and such poor conditions during our stay. We've usually had good Airbnb experiences, but this was a major disappointment for a special family get together. I wouldn't recommend this property. Renters should be careful and consider that better alternatives may be available.
