The Barnett Hotel

I was here for a private event this weekend and was reminded what a good place it is for hosting one. The meeting and conference rooms were beautifully set up, and the lobby seating felt comfortable and inviting. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and the food was excellent. A highlight was stepping out of the event area to relax in the lounge, hear live music, and get a cocktail from the bar. It made for a fun, upscale atmosphere. I’d recommend it for corporate events, private parties, or other special gatherings.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the hotel has style even though it isn’t new or especially fancy. The friendly staff were the best part. The doormen were kind, and so were the front desk folks. I left my do not disturb sign up one day, and they texted to let me know they couldn’t clean. Their text line was quick to respond too. They gave me a sheet with recommendations and services, and I followed their suggestion for a city tour company. It was great. I’d definitely stay again.

I had a room with a private patio, which was lovely for enjoying the sun and city views. The hotel is modern and contemporary, with clean, chic rooms, a restaurant and bar on the lobby floor, and a rooftop pool and bar for drinks and sun. The staff were great. Kedrick, if I’ve got the name right, always greeted us with a smile when we came and went. Really welcoming and friendly. Great boutique hotel in a great location.

We were in town for a wedding and didn’t get to try the restaurants, but check-in came with a ticket for two free drinks. The lobby and rooms were really cool, everything was very clean, and the pool and patio were beautiful. The staff were great all around. Incredible value for this hotel. I’d look forward to staying here again if I’m ever in New Orleans.
