Travelers New Orleans

We've been staying at Traveler's for the past five years. The rooms are minimalist, but thoughtfully laid out and finished, and the location is fantastic if, like us, you enjoy walking everywhere, even in summer. The room and shared spaces, amenities, cleanliness, price, and staff responsiveness have all been amazing.

Mary made us feel so welcome, and the place was clean and quiet. It's within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants, and the beds were super comfortable. I liked having no TVs because it kept the atmosphere calm. The building is also part art gallery, which I loved. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to others.

We had a very nice room in a quiet, quaint neighborhood, with people walking their dogs early in the morning. A taco place, a breakfast spot, and our wedding venue were all about a five-minute walk away, and the WWII museum was roughly 10-15 minutes on foot. The kitchen was clean, and it was lovely to have nighttime tea in the lobby before bed, along with tea and bagels for breakfast. We ran out of shampoo, but a text asking for more was all it took, and they brought it within an hour. We also got a warm welcome call and had a brief, pleasant chat with one of the artists. We were very happy with the experience and would recommend it.

Mary, one of the artists who lives upstairs, was a great NOLA concierge. When I wasn't working, she knew where to send me for fun and good food. The location is terrific, right on Magazine St and close to the artsy warehouse district, the central business district, and the waterfront ferries. I loved the Lower Garden District's big oak trees, beautiful houses, independent shops, and restaurants. The building has great art by local artists, and I really liked having yogurt, juice, bread, and bagels stocked in the fridge, plus tea and coffee to make myself. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the water pressure is terrific. I'd love to see a bit more art in the rooms. I felt at home as soon as I got to Travelers Guesthouse. You should see it for yourself, you'll have fun.
