Motel 6 New Port Richey, FL

The second room they gave me was better, but still dirty overall. I was first assigned a non-smoking room that smelled of smoke, had filthy sheets, and a door bolt that didn't work. I asked the front desk for a refund so I could stay elsewhere, but they refused. The whole motel is run down, with trash bags piled by the stairwell and people wandering outside at all hours of the night. I know Motel 6 is a budget brand, but cleanliness and safety matter in any lodging. See the photos in this review.

The place is closed. Don't trust the Motel 6 app! Motel 6 corporate knows about it and keeps dropping the ball, leaving travelers in the lurch. You're warned!

The room was deteriorating, and there wasn't even a trash can. The shower curtain was broken, so water splashed all over the bathroom. They only provided small, stained towels, not large ones. Thank goodness I brought my own.

I called and booked, then drove all the way there to find the place abandoned. When I called back to find out what was going on, I was put on hold indefinitely and nobody answered. I just hope my card doesn't get charged for this bullshit.
