Lily Pond's Cottage

The pond carries a special memory for me. My late Dad told me that he and his brothers used to walk more than two miles to New Ulm school on hot summer days in the 1930s, then cool off skinny-dipping in the spring-fed pond that's still there. He's been gone nearly 20 years, but I can still imagine their laughter and feel that spirit here. Linda and David have made a truly wonderful getaway. Linda is one of the kindest, gentlest people I've met, and her love of animals and nature comes through in the warm way she welcomes you. The A-frame cottage has great amenities, and the bed is so cozy, comfortable, and warm. We've celebrated two wedding anniversaries at Lily pond's Cottage, and we're planning to spend our 34th there in February 2019. We live just two miles away on our 100-year-plus homestead, but at Lily pond's, time really does seem to stop. It's secluded and peaceful, with squirrels and birds all around. You feel how simple life used to be, and you don't want to leave. FANTASTIC! God bless.
