Finding the place closed when I arrived would have been one thing, but I couldn't get anyone to answer me before or after I reached town. I rang both Ring cameras, called the posted numbers, left messages, and even texted after discovering an unlocked door. No reply at any point. I'm a 70-year-old DAV/POW riding the Southern Tier for Wounded Warrior Project and #Mission22 with Adventure Cycling Association maps. My campground had shut down four days before I was due in New Waverley, so I thought I'd treat myself to this B&B. I only needed somewhere to charge my trike and brush my teeth, since I often sleep reclined on it. The place looked nice online and, from the street, older but charming. Inside, what I could see through the windows looked good too. I even started thinking I'd recommend it to cyclists traveling the route. I walked around outside for a while hoping someone would call back, and eventually found an unlocked door. I called out, then stepped about 10 feet inside. I texted the owner to make sure the number was a cell, and the message showed as delivered. I expected at least a call asking me to secure the door, or a heads-up that they were closed for the season. I also offered to pay just to camp outside. Nothing. I found a church nearby that would have worked, but this B&B was only a block away. The owner seems not to care about the business. Maybe it's being run at a loss for tax reasons, or maybe individual riders and tourists are just an inconvenience. If they only take wedding bookings, that should be made clear. My experience makes the negative reviews seem credible, since they share the same complaint. Bicycle tourists spend plenty of money. Disappointed!

Having the whole property from Friday through Sunday made the wedding weekend run much more smoothly. We also rented the house, which I'd highly recommend when you're planning a wedding. Cheri and the team made sure our weekend guests were comfortable, and Cheri did a wonderful job with the decor. We booked the all-inclusive package and found it to be a great value. Such a lovely outdoor wedding setting.

Cheri and her team kept me updated whenever plans changed, so I could make announcements and have music ready as needed. They pointed out the best place to unload and load my equipment, and even offered to help me pack up. Before I headed out, they checked that I had what I needed and thanked me for the day. I DJed a wedding here this past weekend and had a great time from start to finish. I'd love to come back, either as a guest or to work.

The house is gorgeous, and the beds are so comfortable. If vintage and antique venues are your thing, this is the place. I rented it from Friday night until Sunday morning for my wedding on September 25, 2021. Sorry this review took so long. Cheri and her team were absolutely amazing. They made the day beautiful and everything easy for me, taking care of every last detail. I can't say enough about how much they did. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Thank you, Cheri and team, for making it perfect and the best day ever for me, my husband, and my family.

We had our wedding here and had a great experience. The setup was beautiful, the service was amazing, and everyone was so helpful. Highly recommend!
