Arlo NoMad

We spent five nights here and were really impressed. Lily and the other staff who checked us in were so friendly and made us feel welcome in the city. Our room was clean and just right for a short visit, with an absolutely breathtaking view of the Empire State Building. We'd recommend this hotel to anyone we know who's visiting NYC! 🌃

The hotel is cute and trendy, and the staff were super friendly. Its location is excellent, close to a subway stop, KTown, and some incredible food options. My main gripe is the price I paid for such a small room, though I did book during a peak NYC weekend and the regular rate isn't as steep. My partner and I had a queen room and were constantly stepping around each other. There was barely a foot between the bed and the wall, where the TV was mounted, so I often had to climb onto the bed to get to the other side. We were on the fourth floor, and taller buildings blocked most natural light. The view wasn't much to write home about. Photos online show corner rooms and higher floors with floor-to-ceiling windows, which probably aren't typical for most rooms. I had no other issues with the stay, but wanted to set expectations about room size. This is the kind of place that works if you're out all day and mainly need somewhere to sleep.

Just got back from a Christmas trip to NYC. The rooms are clean and modern, but honestly very small. We had a standard queen, and while the bed and pillows were lovely, two people found it a bit hard to get ready and put clothes away. Since we were mostly there at night, the location, cleanliness, and service made the size fine for us. Reception staff were wonderful, greeting us with smiles morning and evening and going out of their way to help. When our trip home was unfortunately cancelled, they quickly helped arrange somewhere for us to stay. Rooms were supplied with water every day, and the shower was lovely with good pressure, a real plus for me. I'd stay again. If room size matters a lot to you, look elsewhere, but otherwise I'd highly recommend the place and its friendly staff. I wish I'd gotten the names of the lovely people who helped us. Happy New Year, and hopefully we'll return.

We had a lovely three-night visit to Arlo NoMad in December 2025. The staff were friendly throughout and always said hello, even in the elevator. Brianna M. was especially welcoming when we arrived. When I mentioned we were celebrating my 30th birthday, she said she'd see whether a complimentary upgrade might be available for the second day. Our first room was small but had what we needed. The next day, Brianna M. came through with a beautiful city-view room where we could see the Empire State Building. I believe it was an accessible room with a roll-in shower. The shower was the one drawback: you had to hold the showerhead the whole time, and water tended to collect on the bathroom floor. It wasn't ideal, though the views more than made up for it. The central location made it easy to explore the city.
