The Pearl New York

We were very happy with the hotel and would recommend it. We found it by chance and stayed the first week of March. The front desk staff were all pleasant, the room was well organized, and housekeeping did a very good job. WiFi was good, and breakfast was sufficient. We chose a higher floor with a city view and got the eighth floor with windows, just what we wanted. There was plenty of drawer space and a desk, plus a separate bar sink for the coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. Much better than making coffee at the bathroom sink. The location is hard to beat if you’re seeing theater. One small catch: the hotel safe won’t fit a laptop.

Times Square is right nearby, and it’s a legendary shtshow. But if you want to stay in this part of town, Pearl is a great choice, close to museums, shopping, subways, and shows. The service was superb. We left some medication behind by accident, and Jaime Mendieta went to extraordinary lengths to get UPS to deliver it to us over Thanksgiving. Huge shout-out. The rooms were fine, even spacious for Manhattan, with fast WiFi, hot showers, and nice towels. Breakfast is free and worth every penny.

Teressa and the whole team made the stay feel on par with the finest hotels in NYC. They were warm, professional, and attentive. This is the best boutique hotel in the Theater District, with a location steps from theaters, Rockefeller Center, and Times Square. There’s also a new Whole Foods just around the corner. Part of me wants to keep this gem to myself.

Surf’s professionalism and care really made our stay welcoming and easy. He went above and beyond, and employees like him are what turn a good hotel into a great one. The Pearl Hotel itself was comfortable, well kept, and perfectly located. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back.
