Arlo SoHo

The room was minuscule, barely larger than the bed, but the design made good use of the space. It was spotless, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Al at the front desk gave me absolutely stellar service, treating me like I was checking into a $1k-a-night room, and they let me check in early. There's a great co-working area just past the lobby. If you need somewhere to sleep, it's a solid option. I'll happily come back.

I went in January and absolutely loved it. The staff were personable, kind, and accommodating. We ate at Lindens and liked the food and drinks so much that we didn't go elsewhere for meals. On our last day we even had a full coursed meal in a heated cottage. The location worked well for shopping and sightseeing too. I've thought about the trip every week since and can't wait to return.

I liked being a little removed from the busiest tourist spots, and the location was perfect for that. SoHo and Tribeca have lovely streets and architecture, and just wandering around felt like an outing in itself. There are plenty of good restaurants, cafés, and bars nearby, plus Bleecker Street with live blues and rock venues. The hotel was clean and well kept, with a restaurant and bar on site, and the elevators were fast. Room size was fair for the price and location, though smaller rooms could feel tight if you're bringing lots of luggage. We mainly used ours for sleeping, so it suited us, and our view made up for the size. Friendly, helpful staff rounded out a very positive stay. I'd come back.

Our trip hit an unexpected snag that had nothing to do with the hotel, and Andrew & Al went out of their way to help us through it. The service was so good I'd give them extra stars if I could. The rooms were clean, and the umbrella came in handy. We also needed somewhere to work, and there was plenty of space for that. We'll be back.
