Best Western Premier Herald Square

We appreciated how quiet the room was in the morning, and it was clean as well. They also kindly approved our request for a late checkout. The stay was a pleasure from check-in, when we met Mr. Patel. He was funny and pleasant, and treated us as though someone had personally asked him to look after us. He really made the experience better, and I left very pleased with our stay.

Mina helped us at the desk several times, and thanks to her we got a room with a street view. When we arrived and again as we left, it was easy to leave our bags for the day, at $5 per bag. Misba helped with the luggage and was quick and friendly. The hotel is well placed, with plenty of food nearby and subway stations that are easy to get to.

We had a wonderful visit in October, and one of the things we’ll remember most is the view of the Empire State Building. My mother and I found the room a great size by New York standards. There was free water in the lobby, and we could request a mini fridge, which came in handy. Breakfast was delicious, and Laxmi was so kind during the meal. She even offered me a chocolate. After our nearly 10-hour trip, Mina arranged an early check-in for us, which we really needed. She was lovely, and I got to know her a little better at checkout. Misba was attentive and quick to help whenever we needed anything. Another receptionist, I believe her name was Mugdha, shared several good places to visit and eat. She wasn’t there every day, but both times we met she was warm and attentive. It was an amazing trip, and we’ll definitely be back.

The cafe options weren’t especially impressive, but the location made it easy to get around. Times Square, Grand Central Station, and Bryan Park were all walkable. Our room was small but cozy, with comfortable beds, a great shower and water pressure, and heating and cooling that worked perfectly. The staff were amazing and even held our luggage before our flight.
