Days Inn by Wyndham Jamaica / JFK Airport

The front desk staff were friendly and polite both at night and in the morning, and the airport shuttle and breakfast were included in the decent price. I only stayed a night after missing my flight. The room felt a bit dated: the coffee machine was broken, and the AC kept blasting cold air with no working controls, so I had to unplug it in the small room. There was no bottled water, even for purchase, and no shops nearby to get any. Aside from that, it was a good experience.

For a layover, this was a convenient place at a good price. The rooms were really clean, the bed was comfortable, and both the shuttle and internet were free. The room size didn't matter much to me since I wasn't staying long, though it worked well for one person. Breakfast was a basic continental spread, and I wished it stayed open later so I could sleep in. The in-room coffee wasn't great, but the breakfast bar had decent coffee. I'd return if I spent another night in New York.

The free airport shuttle was great, and the room was clean, quiet, and a decent size for the city. It was nothing fancy, but the bed was comfortable. There was only a sheet and an incredibly thin blanket, with no extras in the room. I was freezing and ended up sleeping in my coat since we were only there for a few hours. I'd stay again, but ask for extra blankets.

The area nearby felt a bit dismal, which keeps this from a four-star rating. The clerk gave us a menu for a local pizza delivery place, and the pizza was very good. A decent spot for a quick layover.
