Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel

We chose the Lexington location because my husband had surgery at a nearby hospital. Getting a cab was easy, and we could walk around the area too. Our suite was lovely and comfortable, and the staff were a pleasure to deal with. We ate at the Fitz several times and enjoyed the meals. We stayed four nights and would definitely come back soon.

The room is a suite, but there’s no view and the bathroom is small. The location is good. I’m still a guest here and feel ill just thinking about the Christmas meal. The shrimp cocktail came on two half pieces of brown bread and looked dead. My daughter’s chicken Caesar salad had no chicken. The turkey and ham were badly presented and looked and tasted disgusting. The stuffing didn’t taste like stuffing, and the green beans were dried up and saggy. The ham was rubbery, dried out, and red, so I didn’t even try it. We left the food and asked for the bill, which was $182. Did anyone else have this experience today? I’m debating whether to stay and pay over the odds or move to another hotel.

The location worked perfectly for our family of four on our first New York trip. The subway was a three-minute walk away, and we could walk to Central Park and Rockefella Center. We were glad we hadn’t stayed near the hustle and bustle of Time Square. We spent 15 nights in a deluxe one-bedroom suite with our kids, aged 12 and 15. It was spacious for NYC, spotlessly clean, and the sofa bed was comfortable according to the kids. Service was impeccable, and everyone was friendly. When we arrived in the evening, there were two robes on the bed, slippers, and water and chocolate for each guest after turn-down service. Water and chocolate were also provided daily. Our only small complaint was that on a few days there weren’t enough towels for everyone, though housekeeping brought more soon after we called. We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant. We loved our stay and would return.

Chris and the team made this feel like a home away from home in the big apple. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bar and restaurant area has a relaxed feel. What really stood out was the Irish hospitality Chris and his team showed in every interaction and detail. A huge thank you to everyone for an unforgettable experience for my family and me.
