Flushing Hotel

The front desk people are nice, but the room is filthy. The charging plugs are broken, it smells of pee and poop, and there are stains everywhere. The shower is awful too: the curtain is dirty, the bottles aren’t labeled to say which is body wash or shampoo, and the towels are already brownish and stained. The whole bathroom is horrible. The bed is the only okay part, just a normal bed. The toilet nearly clogs with just toilet paper, so it’s not a great place to poop. Please don’t come here.

The location in Flushing was so convenient that I could walk almost everywhere and rarely needed a bus or train. The hotel felt affordable and safe, the rooms were clean, and the service was excellent. Our flight landed early, and when the manager/front desk attendant realized we’d otherwise be carrying our luggage around for hours, they let us check in sooner than expected. My husband and I both give it 5/5 stars. I wish we could’ve stayed longer, and I’ll definitely come back. They also sell sodas and water for less than deli prices, a nice little bonus.

The room was clean, though outdated, and the quiet hotel was a plus. But the parking was cramped and terrible: you have to drive around and find a tiny driveway leading to one of about five squeezed-in spots. The breakfast looked like something a homeless man would eat, so we went to Dennys for a decent meal. They also entered our room without permission, which we really didn’t like. I doubt we’ll return.

The service was pretty good, and the location was good too. For this price, though, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. You could find a better one for the same amount.
