Surfside Motel

The cleaning team kept my room immaculate, and everyone on staff was wonderful. Anthony, the daytime manager, and Danny, who manages nights, were both great to ask for help. This family-run motel is a real treasure, with beautiful water behind it and the beach, good restaurants, and JFK airport nearby. I highly recommend the Surfside. Thanks to everyone.

My husband had no idea what to expect, but the room and its decorations with his favorite things left him speechless. It made the occasion feel special, like a romantic night at home without the huge-hotel-room feel. A friend had referred me, and I was nervous since I'd never been there. Christine greeted me at the counter, listened to what I needed, and helped a lot. She had one jacuzzi room left, and when I needed help figuring out the tub, she and the staff were great. The tub was roomy and filled fast, the bathroom was nice, the shower pressure was strong, and the bed was comfortable. The room itself was a good size. The blinds kept things dim even with bright daylight, and the parking lot is discreet if you want privacy. We were in room 7A. I'd come back, whether for a few hours or overnight.

A very dated motel, but the location is convenient, with plenty of places to eat nearby, and being on the water is nice. We stayed for a short visit before driving back to FL. The halls smelled strongly of Marijuana, and I wouldn't call it kid friendly. The room was clean and had the basics, including soap and towels. Nothing fancy, but the bed was comfortable, the pillows were fine, and there were big mirrors 😊

We paid $450 for two nights and I just want to leave, this place isn't worth the money. We asked for a non-smoking room, but it smelled as if smokers had been there. There were hardly any amenities: no closet, plastic cups, coffee pot, or ice bucket, and only two towels. Worse, the person who cleaned the room took our toothbrushes and toothpaste, even though our things were on the table. When I complained by phone, they sent two cheap toothbrushes and a tube of toothpaste about the size of my pinky finger. They don't provide breakfast either. The receptionist said there were plenty of places outside the hotel if we wanted to eat. This has been a bad experience.
