The Williams Hotel

I was meant to stay for two nights, but left the next day after seeing bugs crawling on the mattress. I brought the bedbug issue to the front desk’s attention. They first offered to move me, then the man at the desk offered a partial credit when I said I was checking out. I still haven’t received any credit. When I called to say I had bites on my arm from their bedbugs, the same man rushed me off the phone and said he’d offered a credit. I was completely inconvenienced, and I would not recommend staying here. Definitely not worth it.

We arrived at 4:30 pm after traveling almost five hours, and our rooms still weren’t ready. The smell outside was terrible, with garbage piled in front of the hotel, and people were smoking weed on the stairs. Inside, the room smelled like old clothes. The pillows were dirty, and there were no towels in the bathroom when we got there. The towels they later brought had stains on them. There’s no microwave in the room, so you have to go downstairs to heat your food. Worst experience of my whole life.

The smart TV was the only good part. There were no towels in the room, so I had to come downstairs and get them myself, and the towels I received had stains. The toilet paper was already half used. Definitely wouldn’t come back.

We booked because it was cheap and near the Brooklyn mirage, but if that’s your situation too, find somewhere else. The area didn’t feel safe, and the hotel itself felt unsettling. It was dirty, and the front desk service was odd. About 15 minutes after we got into our room, a “worker” tried to come in without knocking. Luckily the latch was on, or he would’ve walked straight in to “clean” with just one spray bottle in hand. We felt so uncomfortable that we left after a few hours and didn’t spend the night.
