Hilton New York Times Square

I liked our large, very clean room on the 41st floor, with its gorgeous view. It was cleaned every day, and the bed was convenient: we checked in online and used a digital key. The hotel is close to the subway, Times Square, and Broadway. I'd definitely stay again. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is that nobody answered the front desk phone. We had issues before arriving, called several times, got a recording every time, and never got a callback. Also, keep in mind they charge $100 per night for incidentals. You do get it back, but that's a lot of money to tie up.

It was our second time staying here, and we had a great time again. We had two rooms this visit, one looking at the Empire State Building and the other facing north, so both had great views. Valet parking was a little pricey, but worth it in the end. Good location and good service.

We spent four lovely nights here last week after moving over from the Sheraton Times Square. Don't stay at the Sheraton under any circumstances, it was horrible. Here, the location was great for walking around and getting to Broadway shows. The rooms were spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and room service was quick. A great experience all around, and we'd definitely come back.

The breakfast isn't worth it, since there are plenty of good options just steps away. RJ on staff deserves a positive mention for helping us. We checked in around 5pm on New Year's Day, but our room wasn't ready until after 7pm. I can understand a busy day and short staffing, but I couldn't understand why there were no towels in the room once we finally got in. The strangest bit was being asked to leave an empty restaurant seating area just outside the market. We bought items at the market and sat there. Nobody was dining in that section, and we wouldn't have taken seats if there had been. About ten minutes later, a bar staff member came over from the area being served and, pretty annoyed, told us to move to the other side of the bar because outside food wasn't allowed. The food we'd bought was from the Hilton market. He was probably just following management's rules, but the timing felt really odd. Pretty underwhelming for a Hilton.
