Holiday Inn Manhattan 6th Ave - Chelsea by IHG

I booked for the price and location, and the room was clean and as described. It was a little cramped with two beds, so it’s probably best if you’ll be out most of the day. The staff were helpful and friendly. When I mentioned the heater wasn’t working properly, they offered to move me to another room. Good value and a good stay. I’d definitely come back and recommend it.

The only real problem was the $150 security deposit. I checked out on January 7, leaving the room clean and undamaged, but still haven’t received the money back. They say it should be returned within 7-10 working days if there’s no damage, so future guests may want to keep that in mind. Apart from that, I enjoyed my week at the Holiday Inn. The place was pleasant and clean, the staff were great, and I was comfortable throughout. I’d recommend it.

We had a great long weekend here with our daughter. The place was well kept and ideally located, with several subway stops nearby. The whole staff was friendly, and one woman in particular went above and beyond to make the trip memorable. She was always smiling and happy to give us whatever information we needed, which really stood out to me as someone who travels a lot. I also appreciated the clear no-cannabis policy. It helped the property feel family friendly, and I value that kind of rule being enforced. We had a great experience.

The accommodations were as advertised, and the rate seemed reasonable for NYC. I booked the IHG 6th Avenue Chelsea Holiday Inn through the Southwest Hotels site on impulse, using expiring Southwest travel credits because I couldn’t afford THE Hotel Chelsea. My visit lined up with heavy regional snow starting Saturday evening 2/21, which delayed my departure until Tuesday 2/24. Jandery M. at the front desk was there throughout, pleasant and supportive, and even slept at the Inn during the bad weather to look after guests. She deserves a big raise at her next performance review.
