Hotel 365 Bronx

I came back to my home state with my son after fleeing a domestic Violence situation in another state. We paid 300.00 for two nights, then 140.00 for one more night. That extra night, an elevator door swung out and hit my son. If I hadn’t grabbed him, he could have been killed. Later I noticed there was no updated inspection sticker inside the elevator. The room heater kept blowing hot air, and the temperature gauge and thermostat didn’t work. I had to keep opening the window to cool it down, and either of us could have burned our hands by touching the heater. The cleaners never knocked to change our sheets. My phone would only charge while the light was on, then stopped charging when it went off. I asked for a manager about a refund and was given the runaround.

The parking lot was filthy, and the signs saying they aren’t responsible if your car is damaged or robbed made me feel unsafe right away. The room was tiny, and the place gave me the impression it might be used for hourly meetups or parties, or who knows what. This feels like a rundown motel, not a hotel. If you’re looking for a safe, quiet, comfortable night, avoid it. It isn’t worth it.

We had a lovely view and the sunsets were amazing. The hotel was surprisingly quiet for New York City, and there was plenty of parking when we arrived. The train station was only about five minutes away, which made getting around easy. The price was reasonable for a Christmas stay, and the staff were very friendly. My boyfriend and I stayed three nights, and our room was clean when we arrived, including the bed, sheets, curtains, floors, and bathroom. I’d suggest putting a microwave in each room. Going down to the lobby to heat food was a hassle, especially when we got hungry in the middle of the night on the fifth floor. We also couldn’t adjust the temperature in our room, and one night was really cold, so it might help to check the thermostats before guests arrive. I’d been a little worried by the mixed reviews, but we had a great stay and would definitely come back.

I left within an hour of checking in, but they still refused to refund me. The non-smoking room I was given on the sixth floor smelled strongly of pot, as did the hotel generally, despite the non-smoking advertising. I could hear every word from the couple having sex in the room above. The only items in the main-floor vending machine were male enhancement pills, see pic. Poor service and misleading advertising. Reserve at your own risk. Zero stars.
