Hotel Fuego Bronx

The room was disgusting and smelled, and our keycard stopped working every night, so we had to get it fixed each time. At check-in, the desk person ignored me while staying on the phone, even as I asked what I was being charged for. I already had a prepaid booking, but she charged me for another stay. They promised a refund and still haven’t sent it. They’ve also been avoiding me instead of resolving the issue. Worst, most unprofessional hotel I’ve stayed at.

There was a fight outside when we arrived, so be aware the area didn’t feel safe. The room smelled of mold and cigarettes, the sheets were dingy, and the bedspread smelled and had a cigarette burn. We left right away without using the room. The front desk guy said he had to speak with the owner about a refund, but given how cheaply the motel is run and looks, we doubted they’d refund us. After many calls, we were ignored and then denied a refund despite never using the room. Wouldn’t recommend.

The room was dirty everywhere, including hair in the bathroom and fridge. The window was disgustingly dirty and poorly insulated, so outside noise came through as if it were open. I paid for a week and booked two rooms, but the front desk girl wasn’t helpful with this situation. I hope management will cooperate so I can get my money back and leave. Strongly don’t recommend this place.

Floors and sheets were extremely dirty, and the staff were incredibly rude. The owners were singing and playing loud music all night. The fire alarm was covered with a plastic bag. When I called the front desk, they admitted it was illegal and said they did it because people smoke in the room. I asked about a refund, but the front desk said they couldn’t do anything and kept directing me to email a manager who apparently has no phone. I never got a response. This hotel isn’t worth whatever money you might save. Anyone posting a good review must be fake.
