Dinner and drinks were both fantastic, and Gabby was attentive and so friendly all evening. Our rooftop igloo booking at the Public Hotel made the night feel special, especially once our group suddenly got bigger. Jaime helped sort it all out, and the staff handled the change with no fuss. We had a really fun night and would come back.

The Igloo was warm and cozy, and staying there made for a fun experience. PUBLIC has a lively, modern feel as soon as you walk in. I also really liked the design: it’s chic, and the details feel carefully considered. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, especially Jaime and Leilani, who checked that we were doing all right.

I really like spending time here, whether I’m working or just enjoying the thoughtful, charming atmosphere. But the second-floor bartenders have made it harder to enjoy the place. Even asking for water or making a simple request has been met with a discourteous, unprofessional attitude. Their tone feels out of place in a hotel that puts so much effort into its atmosphere. I hope they take this as constructive feedback. I value this space and want to keep coming back.

The phone I left in the lounge Saturday night was supposed to go to security, with a message for me when I could collect it. No one ever contacted me. When I came back the next morning, staff said it was in a safe they couldn’t open until the day after, so it would need to be shipped. I sent Pierre Nguyen, Director of the Front Office, a prepaid overnight UPS label and stressed how urgent it was. He said it would go out right away. The next morning, tracking still showed no drop-off. After I followed up, I was told it had been given to UPS the previous evening, but that didn’t match the tracking. UPS records show they received it an hour after my inquiry. The poor communication and inaccurate updates threw off my schedule. I expected more dependable follow-through and transparency. Thanks for the lies and disinformation, Pierre Nguyen. You really messed up my next two days.

The rooftop was a great place to spend the evening, with drinks, dancing, views, and a good dinner. Downstairs breakfast hit the spot the next morning too, especially the pastries and solid coffee. PUBLIC has a fun, energetic atmosphere throughout, and I liked that it welcomes dogs. Our room was small, but the Japanese-inspired design felt calm and modern. The two beds were side by side on a platform and surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was clean and sleek, though the glass walls make it a pretty intimate setup. Luckily, my friend and I could laugh about that. I’d happily stay again.
