The room felt cozy and homey from the website and check-in through the service and amenities, and the location suited what we were in NYC to do. We stayed in the O’Henry, which was perfect for my husband and me. The room was ready when we arrived, spotless, with the AC on. I loved the old-world decor throughout the property. Elijah welcomed us even though we checked in very late, around 2am. The Inn has just 9 guest rooms, and it’s not a typical modern hotel with lots of bells and whistles. Our key was an actual metal house key, no electronic lock. I loved that simplicity and the nostalgia. We were glad the Inn was available after comparing AirBnB and hotel options, and I’ll definitely stay again.

I stayed here 24 years ago, when it felt sweet and quaint. Last week it seemed spooky and well past its prime. The shower wouldn’t drain, there were obvious water stains on the ceiling, and everything felt old in a bad way. I like the idea of the Inn, but it needs a renovation and some care to bring back its charm and hidden-gem reputation. Very disappointing.

We loved the vintage feel throughout the place. The location was fabulous for what my friend and I wanted on our first New York trip, and the bar downstairs was a nice spot for a nightcap after our show at Irving Plaza.

We stayed in Stanford White on the second floor, overlooking a peaceful backyard. The bed was very comfortable, the room spacious with plenty of storage, and the bathroom was wonderful. The two connected brownstones and their shared space were lovely. The tea room looked fabulous, though we didn’t try it, and the bar seemed promising even though it was closed. I’ve been to NYC several times, and this was by far my best experience. Everything, from the service and location to the amenities, felt wonderful. Thank you, TIAIP Team!

The linens were incredible, the tea service was great, and the staff and surroundings were wonderful. It feels like a hidden gem from Gramercy’s past. One of the best places in the City. I could stay here forever.
