We liked the location, and the lobby had people working and relaxing at all hours. It was a cool scene, though we were too busy to join in. The rooms are small, as you'd expect in NYC, but we didn't mind the space. Our room was an hour later than it was supposed to be ready, and the hotel contacted us about it. The doorman was great with our bags, and there was a complimentary bottle of sparkling rose waiting for my wife's birthday, which was a nice touch. We only made it to the free breakfast on one of our days, and it was better than we expected. I called ahead to ask about a concierge. They don't have one, and when I asked for help getting a reservation, the person on the phone said they couldn't do that. The staff were helpful enough otherwise, and we'll look at staying here next time we're back in NYC.

The front desk arranged our airport car and took care of everything we needed. We also enjoyed the included breakfast, especially the premium coffee and orange juice, and the fireplace lounge was a cozy place for drinks. The Marlton Hotel worked perfectly for a girls' trip to the city with my mom. The cute rooms had comfortable beds, and the location made it easy to walk to friends and restaurants. I'd recommend it for a simple, enjoyable stay.

The old-fashioned decor and lift have plenty of charm. The lift is old, but it can scan the fob for the up direction, and the vintage feel suited the hotel. The lobby was lovely and cozy, and made us feel welcome. Rooms are small, like most NYC hotels, but the comfortable bed made up for the lack of space. It's mid-priced, so not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Getting there from JFK was straightforward: Airtrain to Jamaica, then the E Train to West 4th St and a short walk. The front steps could be tricky for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise, it's easy to get around the city by subway or on foot. I'll be back!

It's in a handy spot away from the hectic crowds, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The bar and restaurant have nice views. Staff even brought tap water over when I was working in the lobby. The hotel felt cramped to me, though the small room was cozy. Getting in means steep, narrow steps, and there was another steep, narrow stairwell to the rooms, so it won't suit buggies, kids, or anyone with mobility issues. I had to wipe limescale off the showerhead myself. Front desk staff were helpful, but breakfast service was inconsistent, and the coffee was wrong every time. One morning, I waited so long to be served that I left. My friend also heard a restaurant manager shouting at staff that morning. It wasn't professional or pleasant, and, ironically, the manager's presence made the service worse.

I felt safe here traveling alone from the UK as a mature woman. This was my second visit, and I'm sure I'll return. The hotel is welcoming, with a lovely evening atmosphere around the bar and restaurant, but it never got rowdy even though they're open to residents and the public. The food was good and breakfast was included. Rooms are small but cozy and have what you need, although my view was just a solid brick wall. There's beautiful style and history to the hotel, and the location is great. Staff were attentive and friendly.
