The vineyard views were beautiful, and waking up looking out at the vines felt magical. My room was spacious, elegant, and incredibly comfortable. The whole property is stunning, thoughtfully designed, and impeccably maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere and refined decor. Staff were warm and attentive, making the stay feel welcoming as well as exclusive. For a classy, serene escape with world-class wine and unforgettable scenery, this place is hard to beat. I can’t wait to return.

We loved our stay! The restaurant served good food, though it was about $$$. We had a couples massage in our room, and it felt wonderful. The staff were all kind and professional. Valet parking was complimentary, and we were pretty close to shopping stores. It was my birthday, and they surprised us with a bottle of wine and a personalized note, a really nice touch. I also didn’t expect the sink water to be triple filtered, but that was a pleasant surprise.

It’s a beautiful property, but a long way from everything else, and better service would’ve been appreciated. At check-in, Willy and Parker were delightful, exactly what you’d expect at a high-end hotel. I had a nice stay until early the next morning, when I called for more body lotion. The small tubes in the room were enough for one leg after swimming or bathing. I asked “Brian” at the desk for three or four more, and he suggested I come to the lobby to buy a bottle. When I went upstairs, “Brian” looked exactly as I’d imagined, like an extra from Portlandia. I’ve stayed at some of the finest hotels in the world, and in 60 years I’ve never seen anyone be such a miser with amenities. I assumed the lotion came out of his paycheck? This felt more like a motel owner on 82nd in Portland than one of Oregon’s top-ranked hotels. I left a message for the GM, but it seems she doesn’t have time to return messages.

We came to the Allison Inn for my fiancé’s Work Christmas Party and were blown away by the elegant setting, lovely views, and the care they put into details and sustainability. The staff made the biggest impression. From the moment we arrived until we said goodbye, everyone was friendly and accommodating, and every person I spoke with seemed genuinely happy to be there. It was clear to me the hotel takes good care of its guests and its staff. I have rigid dietary restrictions, and the bartenders kindly helped me come up with a mocktail I could enjoy. We settled on martenelli with their house-made grenadine. It was the best grenadine I’ve ever had, truly. I came back for a second and asked what made it so good. They explained the ingredients and aromatics they steep for THREE DAYS. Incredible. My fiancé’s brother won the raffle for a night in the penthouse and invited us to use the additional room. It was glamorous and elegant, and we made good use of all three fireplaces. The soaking tub was wonderfully comfortable and relaxing, with complimentary bath salts provided. Meeting the lovely staff and spending time at this beautiful hotel was an incredible experience. My fiancé and I agree it would be the ideal place for our first wedding anniversary. They’ve given me a new idea of the kind of service I hope for when staying somewhere, above and beyond in every way.

My friend and I make a birthday trip to The Allison Inn & Spa every year, and it’s always a perfect Oregon wine country break. We like to start with champagne at spa check-in, then unwind in the tranquil, luxurious spa. The team is accommodating when we book appointments, and the massage is my favorite, with soothing music, aromatherapy, and a truly indulgent atmosphere. Afterward, we have a private meal paired with wine that’s been specially prepared for us. The restaurant is consistently excellent. The food is delicious, and the staff know wine well, so it’s easy to get pairing advice that complements your meal. The suites are spacious, with fireplaces, spa-style bathrooms, soaking tubs, and elegant modern design. Everything is spotless, comfortable, and beautifully cared for.
