Pleasant Moose Lodge

Breakfast was fresher than what you'd get at most national chains. Staff said the eggs are cracked and cooked fresh, not instant, and my wife loved the donuts so much she had two. The lodging is clean, relaxing, and well located. Our room was comfortable and quiet, so we slept well. Staff were friendly, and the parking lot was well lit with security cameras.

We came up for a snowmobiling weekend, our first time in the UP, and found the hotel very clean and comfortable. The hospitality was amazing, the breakfast was complimentary and great, and the friendly staff kept popcorn and donuts available all night. The soda machine is the one letdown. It looks like it hasn't been restocked in ages and takes your money.

We've made this our favorite place to stay in Newberry. It's near tourist spots, grocery, drug and hardware stores, gas stations, and several places to eat. Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful, especially the manager. The hot breakfast was great, with sausage, eggs, waffles, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, and more, and there was always hot popcorn in the lobby. Some rooms could use updates, like better showerheads and sink fixtures. In our room, the hot and cold handles were switched around. Still, everything was very clean, and the beds were comfortable, with pillows in different thicknesses to choose from. We're looking forward to coming back in a few months.

A very welcoming place to stay if you're in the area. The staff were all super nice and accommodating, and the room was comfortable and very clean. Nothing fancy, but I didn't need fancy. Breakfast was free, and complimentary snacks were available all day. I'd definitely recommend it.
