Quality Inn Newberry

Ken and Bonnie at the front desk were amazing and so kind to my family during a difficult time. The location is perfect, with everything important nearby. We'll stay here again.

The shower was great, and at least it gave us a bed in a pinch. The beds were small and very hard, the room was beat up and not very clean, and I had to wipe the TV screen myself. Traffic noise came right into the room. That's about all I can say.

The accessible room had rails by the toilet but none in the tub or shower. The sink had exposed plywood on the toilet side instead of marble, which can't be sanitized, and I wondered how many people had touched it with poop-stained hands. In the room, the microwave was dead, the fridge had mold inside, and there were only two usable single outlets in the living area. There was no toilet paper holder, so the roll sat on top of the tank. The ceiling leaked water from the room above. There were cigarette burns everywhere, even on the sheets, which made it seem like they hadn't been replaced since the property went completely smokeless. The old chain-door lock didn't provide security. Breakfast was free, but the biscuits and sausage gravy were cold, and there was no salt or pepper. How long had the food been left out cold, with salmonella possibly growing? This place is a cheap trash dump.

It wasn't worth $95. The advertised $56 room came to $95 after a discount. The bathroom was disgusting, the furniture dusty, and a spill in the freezer section of the fridge had frozen without being cleaned. The bed was clean, which is the only good thing I can say about the room. The staff were very friendly, but I won't return to this location. The pool was drained and badly in need of repair.
